Ben is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who provides psychotherapy to adults, couples, and adolescents in the Parkland County and Greater Edmonton areas in English and Spanish.
Ben’s approach is personable, non-judgmental, empathetic, and client-centred. He believes that each client is the expert in their own life and collaborates with them in creating and meeting goals at their own pace, wherever they are in their journey to fortifying their mental health.
Ben has completed a master’s degree in counselling psychology and also has an educational background in religious studies. He is fascinated by the intersection between culture (especially religion) and mental health and strives to be informed and accommodating to clients’ cultural beliefs and practices. His professional background includes working with people with cognitive disabilities as well as individuals recovering from and living with injuries sustained in their workplace.
He believes strongly in people’s right and ability to choose, especially emphasizing how they can learn to choose to engage in thoughts and behaviours that will propel them towards their goals and disengage in the thoughts and behaviours that distance themselves from their ideal life. He looks to empower clients by helping them discover and capitalize on their strengths and uncover solutions to their problems that work for them.

Zelda Kause is a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years experience in the field of mental health. Her background as a Pharmacist gives her a unique perspective on mental health.
One of her favourite quotes is: “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass …. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
She welcomes the opportunity to dance in the rain with you … to explore the storms that have marred your life and prevented you from knowing joy. To help you discover the beauty in the storm, and perhaps more importantly, become empowered to weather present and future storms. Her education and experiences have prepared her to walk with you. She has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, is educated as a Marriage and Family Therapist and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has worked in a variety of health care settings, including Royal Alexandra Hospital, Alberta Hospital, Riseup House for women impacted by domestic violence, and volunteered at Inner City Organizations.
However, she states that life experiences may have been her greatest education, having experienced enough personal heartache to keep her humble, and seen enough changes in life situations to keep her hopeful. Personal pain takes many forms: relationships that are a little off, and need realignment, or completely broken requiring redesign. This pain may take the form of depression, anxiety, confusion, hopelessness, discouragement, loneliness, grief, fear, night terrors, or traumatic memories that will not be stilled. Her education and experience have prepared her to explore solutions with you.
